Days 1,2,3 & 4: Boston
The "Athens of America" is yours to discover! Explore the Freedom Trail, ride the Swan boats in the Boston Public Garden, shop at Quincy Market, and take a dinner cruise on Boston Harbor. Don't miss Boston's wonderful museums, including the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum; Museum of Science and Museum of Fine Arts.

Days 5, 6 & 7: To Maine Coast (140mi/233 km)

Days 8, 9 & 10: To New Hampshire (164mi/262km)

Ride the Conway Scenic Railroad or Mount Washington Cog Railway; cruise on beautiful Lake Winnepesaukee; and picnic along the Kankamagus Highway.

Days 11, 12 & 13: The Berkshires (174mi/278km)
Today, your travels take you through Vermont, into the Berkshire Hills for your final four nights, where a wealth of cultural and sightseeing opportunities await. Visit the Clark Art Institute, Tanglewood summer home of the Boston Symphony Orchestra, Hancock Shaker Village, the Norman Rockwell Museum and the homes of Herman Melville, Edith Wharton and Daniel Chester French.

Day 14: To Boston/Home (75mi/120km)
En route to Boston's Logan Airport, visit Sandwich, the Cape's oldest town. Then, head for Plymouth, where the Pilgrims landed, to explore Plimoth Plantation, depicting life in 1627. Later, return to Boston, to drop your car and catch your flight home.
